Graham Stanley's view about Web 2.0 & Its tools

Here, Stanley defined the main concept of web 2.0 and other sub parts of web tools. First of all he talks about Blog and after it he described one by one. A blog can be thought of an online journal that an individual can continuously update with his or her own words, ideas, and thoughts through software that enables one to easily do so and also with this we creates the class of English. And also we create the small language learning community. A wiki is a simple -to-use software which allows users to create, edit and link pages together. It is an easy way for people to collaborate on documents online and for this reason is often used for community websites. A podcast is an audio file that you download from the Internet. After you download it, you can listen to it on your computer or on an MP3/portable music player (for example, an iPod etc). You can subscribe to a podcast so that it is delivered to you automatically each day, just like a newspaper. One of the best ways to take advantage of video in the ESL classroom is to offer students a host of techniques that can be used outside of class. These techniques can make home study periods more entertaining and productive. Students should work with fragments of dialogue or short films. They should actively do a wide range of exercises. These can prove to be a rewarding manner in which students take control of their learning.
